The Cederberg Indigenous Peoples Association (CIPA) drives community-led economic growth by supporting local enterprises that strengthen both economic resilience and cultural continuity. We promote initiatives like the women-led Wupperthal Organic Rooibos Nursery, supplying plants to local farmers, and the Wupperthal Clothing Manufacturers, producing apparel for schools. By securing fair resource rights through the Rooibos Benefit Sharing Agreement and investing in eco-tourism and sustainable agriculture, we ensure indigenous communities directly benefit from their knowledge and thrive through socially just, long-term development.
